Following are some guidelines you should observe when you design a WML application that supports images.
GUIDELINE: Use images to supplement text rather than replace it.
Because image support is not consistent across devices, make sure the text that accompanies an image will still be meaningful if a device cannot display the image.
GUIDELINE: Avoid using "splash screen" images larger than the device display size.
The display size depends on the device. To determine the device's display size, check the HTTP headers of requests from the device. For more information, see Retrieving subscriber, device, and UP.Link information on page 67.
